Description

Salt Resistant Fluid Loss Starch is a high-performance drilling fluid treatment agent specially developed for oil and gas drilling, geological exploration and other fields. With natural starch as the core raw material, its molecular structure is optimized through modification processes such as phosphate ester and tert-butyl sulfonate. It breaks through the performance limitations of traditional starch in salt resistance and temperature resistance. It has the advantages of excellent fluid loss reduction, wellbore stability, environmental protection and economy. It is widely compatible with fresh water, salt water, composite salt water and seawater drilling fluid systems, providing reliable technical support for drilling operations under complex working conditions. It is an excellent alternative to traditional high-priced fluid loss reduction agents.

Core Product Features

Based on advanced modification technology, this product significantly improves the salt resistance, temperature resistance and fluid loss reduction performance on the basis of retaining the environmental protection and low-cost advantages of natural starch. Its core features are as follows:

Superior Salt Resistance

By introducing salt-resistant groups into the molecular chain through modification, it effectively prevents the damage of high-salt environment to product performance. In 4% salt water, saturated salt water and even composite salt water systems, it can stably exert fluid loss reduction effect, avoiding the problem of easy gelatinization and failure of common starch in salt-forming formations. It is suitable for various salt-containing drilling conditions.

Excellent Fluid Loss Reduction Effect

It can quickly adsorb on the surface of clay particles in drilling fluid, form a dense, tough and low-permeability mud cake, effectively control the loss of free water in drilling fluid to the formation, reduce fluid loss, and reduce drilling risks such as formation damage and wellbore collapse. It ensures the smooth progress of drilling operations. The API fluid loss can be controlled within 30.0mL (hot rolling at 120°C for 12 hours).

Good Temperature Resistance and Stability

The optimized production process enables the product to have a temperature resistance of more than 150°C, and some specifications can be suitable for deep wells and ultra-deep well conditions of 160-180°C. It is not easy to thermally degrade in high-temperature environments, and the performance is stable. At the same time, it has calcium resistance, can resist the interference of calcium ions in drilling fluid, avoid performance decay, and can resist bacterial degradation, extending service life.

Product Application Scenarios

product-1-1

This product is mainly used in oil and natural gas drilling operations, especially suitable for complex working conditions. The specific application scenarios include:

Drilling in Salt-forming Formations: Suitable for various high-salt environments such as seawater drilling, salt mines and composite salt formations. It effectively solves the problem of insufficient salt resistance and excessive fluid loss of common fluid loss reduction agents, and stabilizes the performance of drilling fluid.

Deep Well and Ultra-deep Well Drilling: With excellent temperature resistance, it can be used in deep well and ultra-deep well operations with well temperature above 150°C. It replaces traditional starch products with poor temperature and salt resistance, ensuring drilling safety.

Directional Well and High-angle Well Drilling: It can effectively control fluid loss, stabilize wellbore, reduce complex situations such as wellbore collapse and sticking, and meet the special drilling requirements of directional wells and high-angle wells, improving drilling efficiency.

Product Advantages

Core Advantages

Compared with traditional fluid loss reduction agents (modified lignite, olefin polymers, common starch), this product has significant competitiveness:

Compared with modified lignite

It has stronger salt and calcium resistance, is compatible with salt water and composite salt water systems, and has no pollutant discharge, making it more environmentally friendly.

Compared with olefin polymers and resins

The cost is reduced by more than 30%, the production process is simple, and the compatibility with drilling fluid is better without adverse effects.

Compared with common starch

The temperature resistance is improved by more than 30°C, the salt resistance is greatly improved, it is not easy to be degraded by bacteria, and the service life is longer.

Usage Methods

Dissolution Preparation

Mix the product with an appropriate amount of clean water or drilling fluid in advance, stir evenly to make a viscous mother liquor, and avoid adding directly into the drilling fluid to cause agglomeration.

Addition Method

Slowly add the mother liquor to the drilling fluid, stir while adding to ensure full dissolution, and the stirring time is not less than 10 minutes.

Dosage Adjustment

Adjust the addition amount according to the type of drilling fluid and working conditions. The conventional dosage is 1.0%-3.0% of the total mass of drilling fluid. For saturated salt water systems, the dosage can be appropriately increased to 1.5%-3.0%.

Performance Testing

After addition, test the fluid loss amount, apparent viscosity and other indicators of the drilling fluid, and finely adjust the dosage according to the test results to ensure the best fluid loss reduction effect.
