Wheat Pregelatinized Starch

Wheat Pregelatinized Starch is physically modified starch soluble in cold water; no heating is required for gelatinization. Featuring rapid hydration, thickening, binding, water retention and stabilizing capabilities, it is widely adopted in food processing, industrial manufacturing, feed production, pharmaceuticals, daily chemicals and many other industries. It accommodates production procedures carried out at ambient or low temperatures without heating, making it a highly versatile modified starch raw material.
The food industry represents its primary application field, covering various instant, frozen, baked and meat products. For instant foods including instant noodles, congee, soup mixes and brewed beverages, it accelerates rehydration and improves fluffy texture. In bakery production for bread, cakes and pastries, it locks moisture, delays staling, maintains long-lasting softness and enhances dough ductility. In meat and frozen food processing such as sausages, meatballs and frozen dumplings, it works as a water retention and binding agent to reduce juice loss, boost elasticity and structural integrity and prevent cracking during freezing. It is also added into sauces, confectionery and dairy goods to thicken and stabilize textures while avoiding stratification and sedimentation.
It boasts diversified industrial applications. In papermaking, it functions as a surface sizing agent and filler binder to enhance paper flatness, toughness and water resistance while reducing powder shedding. For textile sizing and finishing, it binds fibers, shapes fabrics, improves smoothness and wear resistance and lowers yarn breakage rates. Added into putty powder, dry-mix mortar and thermal insulation materials in construction, it delivers thickening, water retention, binding and anti-cracking effects and optimizes workability and forming stability. For coatings and adhesives, it acts as an auxiliary thickener and binder to improve uniformity and adhesion, suitable for construction under ambient temperature.

Wheat Pregelatinized Starch also has extensive uses in feed, pharmaceutical and cosmetic sectors. In feed manufacturing, it serves as an eco-friendly binder for aquatic and livestock feed pellets. It stabilizes pellet structures without high-temperature treatment, prevents pellet disintegration and feed waste during feeding, and imposes no adverse impact on nutrient absorption. In pharmaceuticals, it works as fillers and disintegrants for tablets and granules to facilitate forming and accelerate tablet dissolution. For daily chemicals such as toothpaste, skincare and detergent products, it acts as a thickener and stabilizer to adjust consistency and enhance sensory experience. Fundamentally, Wheat Pregelatinized Starch excels in processes without heating and requiring rapid forming at room temperature. It eliminates complicated thermal gelatinization procedures needed for native starch and significantly raises production efficiency.
